When Artiste Winery reached out to HC2 Productions to help convert their in-person charity benefit to a virtual event, we were delighted to lend a hand. Artiste owners Bion and Anna Rice teamed up with the Dead Poets Foundation, founded by actor, writer, and activist Mariel Hemingway and renowned artist Nicolo Carpinelli to help bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. This wonderful collaboration highlights the role that art, creativity, and communication plays in maintaining mental health while shining light on a difficult topic.
As a sponsor, HC2 volunteered their time and organized the equipment, directed the film shoot, and edited the video that would later be played back by Artiste on World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept. 10th). The video was shot with three 4k cameras inside the Artiste Winery’s Tasting Room in Los Olivos, CA, a space that was beautifully transformed using modern and eye-catching decor, Carpinelli’s artwork (some of which is being featured on Artiste’s specially-crafted blends), and thoughtfully curated floral arrangements that directly reflected the art pieces on display.
We encourage you to find out more about the wonderful work that Dead Poets Foundation and Artiste Winery are doing – so, please visit their websites – and while you are there – buy some wine and donate to this worthy cause.

“HC2 Productions produced our pre-recorded video for our live broadcast “Hearts UnKnown” in September 2020, during the height of the pandemic. They were professional and responsible beyond measure, and the quality of the show far exceeded our expectations.”
