This past December, in recognition of National Giving Month, HC2 was honored to be able to donate to two established, highly impactful foundations.
HC2 selected Teach for America because now, during a pandemic that has reduced and restricted standard access to educational support and created even greater educational inequity, we felt that supporting equal education for all children is more important than ever. Teach for America recruits exceptional and diverse leaders who work both inside and outside of the system, committed to the belief that all children have a right to excellent education.
Similarly, Feeding America is an institution that has been instrumental in aiding those experiencing food insecurity, again made worse and more urgent during the ongoing pandemic. As the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America works to get nourishing food – from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers – to people in need in an overall effort to end hunger.
